Capitan BloodI welcomed the opening of Amazon.it with great surprise and satisfaction. For several years I have been ordering from the American one and recently also from the English one. Obviously only books. So I decided to try the Italian one. Prices are always discounted and for orders over 19 euros shipping costs are not paid. Not all books are available for now, just as not all products sold on other Amazons. There is no Shopping list, which I use on the American site, which is very useful for reminding me which books to order. On the Feltrinelli website there is something similar, the Watching list. The first novel I chose is Captain Blood by Rafael Sabatini. Even though the name is famous, I didn't know the author. He had talked Special Data about it on the Evolutionary Strategies blog, in an article entitled Weekend with the Pirate . To tell the truth, there he talked about two other interesting novels about pirates, but in the meantime I bought Captain Blood . And on the waiting list is Scaramouche , a character I met as a child in a television adaptation. LeviathanAs a second purchase I bought one of the five steampunk novels declared among the best on the subject. The novel is Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld and illustrated by Keith Thompson. The book is very heavy, almost 8 ounces, with well-finished graphics and inside a map of Europe from 1914 in full steampunk style. The books were shipped on December 30th and I received them three working days later , on January 4th. Considering that the Christmas holidays were involved, when the country seems to stop, the delivery was very fast.
